Is this an AI website builder?
It is closer to the opposite of one. A website builder gives you its own editor and its own output format. WPPilot gives your existing AI client typed access to the site you already own, so the result is real Bricks, Divi, Oxygen, Breakdance, Etch or Elementor documents that open in their own editors.
So does one prompt really build a whole site?
One prompt from you, yes. Behind it the agent makes hundreds of separate ability calls: read the design system, create the header template, write each page tree, create the menu, set the front page, and each one is checked against your permissions before it runs. That is why the result survives contact with a real site.
What do I need before I start?
WordPress 6.9 or newer, PHP 8.0 or newer, WPPilot Free installed and enabled, one of the supported AI clients connected, and a Pro licence for the builder or commerce modules. Start on staging.
Can it install the plugins it needs?
No. There is no install or activate ability anywhere in WPPilot, in any safety profile. It builds with the builder, forms plugin and fields plugin you already have, and tells you when a module is missing rather than working around it.
What if I do not know what MCP is?
You do not need to. Install the plugin, paste the generated configuration into your AI client once, then describe what you want in plain language. The protocol is how the two ends talk; it is not something you operate.
How much of the result needs reviewing?
Structure and data usually land correctly because they come from real schemas. Responsive behaviour, tone, imagery and anything factual are where your review time goes, and unverified facts come back marked rather than invented.
